Claremorris

Claremorris Library is located in a converted Church of Ireland church, formerly St. John's, which was inaugurated in 1828. It was converted into a library with a small mezzanine in 1980s, and further renovations were carried out in 2003.

  The church is a fine example of a Board of the First Fruits church. The Board of the First Fruits was set up to provide grants to rebuild or erect new churches during the late 18th and early 19th century.
