The newly refurbished Ballymahon Community Library was officially
opened on Friday 18th February 2011 by Longford County mayor, Cllr. Paul
Connell and Deputy Peter Kelly, T.D. The new library opened it's doors
to the public on Tuesday 22nd February at 10am.
The ground floor of the former courthouse houses the main library,
complete with children’s corner, computer facilities, lending and
reference library and soft seating area with, magazines and newspapers.
Above, on the first floor is a large community hall, which doubles as a
local studies room, complemented by two smaller meeting rooms.
